12. Rubus zangezurus Mulkidzhanyan (1955: 133–135) . Type:— ARMENIA. Zangezur, district Кafan, the right bank of the river above the village Tsav, clay scree, 8 October 1954, Ya. Mulkidzhanyan 58408 (ERE). ( Fig. 5 E, F )

Distribution in Armenia: in Ijevan and Zangezur floristic regions. Endemic to Armenia. Grows in forests, at forest edges, in the mountain river gorges, shrubberies, along the banks of rivers and streams, in shibliak, stony slopes and screes, at an altitude of 800–1500 m above sea level.

Phenology: Flowering June–July; fruiting August–October.

For the Ijevan floristic region the occurrence of R. zangezurus is reported for the first time.

Conservation status. It is included as Endangered species in the Red Book of Plants of the Republic of Armenia ( Tamanyan et al., 2010) and in the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species (URL: https://www.iucnredlist.org/ species/200441/2660129). The area of species distribution is fragmented. Limiting factors are restricted extent of occurrence and area of occupancy. Conservation actions: species occur in the area of "Shikahogh" State Reserve of RA.

Section 5. Glandulosi Müller (1859: 192)

Squat plants with cylindrical, rarely obtusely angular (or slightly furrowed) stems, often with a bluish bloom, with numerous, unequal prickles, bristles and glands. Inflorescence short or medium in length; flowers small or medium, petals narrow; sepals in fruits mostly erect.
