7. Rubus cartalinicus Yuzepchuk (1924 –1925: 157); Yuzepchuk (1941: 31). Lectotype (designated by Kutateladze 1980: 111):— GEORGIA. Cartalinia, inter opp. Borzhom et pag. Atzkhur, in faucib. fl. Kvabis-Khevi, 1 August 1923, S. Juzepczuk 173 (LE). ( Fig. 4 A, B )

Distribution in Armenia: Lori, Ijevan and Meghri floristic regions. In oak-hornbeam forests, shrubberies, on forest edges, mountain slopes up to subalpine zone, 600–1500 m above sea level.

Phenology: Flowering May–June; fruiting August–September.

For the Lori and Meghri floristic regions the occurrence of R. cartalinicus is reported for the first time.

General distribution: West, Central and South Transcaucasia. Endemic to Transcaucasia.

Specimens from Armenia differ from typical ones in the larger sizes of inflorescences and leaves, weaker pubescence of leaves on the underside and the absence of glandular hairs on annual shoots. Is a promising species as a berry crop (Mulkidjanian, 1958).
