Papilio Eques Trojanus belus, Stoll, 1782b: 2 [No. 23].

Material examined. 1 ♀, with van Lennep label ‘No. 23. BELUS Cr. II. 112. A. B.’ and Felder label ‘ Surinam Eyndhoven’ ( BMNH (E)#665203); it has been repinned and repaired; but is not a good match for original plate 78, figs A, A, which illustrates a male. It is possible that the van Lennep label has become associated with the wrong specimen .

Current status. Valid species in Battus ( Häuser et al., 2003) .
