Pap[ilio] Helicon[ius] vocula Stoll, 1781: 121 , 252 [as vocala; refers to pl. 535 in error], pl.353, figs C, D [original plate 332, figs A, A]. Surinam (E.F.Alberti).

Material examined. No potential Stoll specimens located.

Current status. Junior subjective synonym of Moschoneura pinthous (Linnaeus, 1758) ; the spelling vocula is preferred as it is in current usage ( Lamas, 2004b).
