Diagnosis. Forewing length is 17.5– 18 mm in males (17.5 mm in the holotype) and 20.5– 21 mm in females. This western subspecies ( Figs 3, 4 View FIGURES 1–8 ) differs from the nominate one described from Guangdong Province (South China) ( Fig. 5 View FIGURES 1–8 ) by its forewing longitudinal shade being slightly paler and not broadened medially, the absence of dark grey suffusion along the R vein subbasally, and the shorter blackish subbasal line on forewing costa. The male genitalia of the two subspecies are very similar ( Figs 17–19 View FIGURES 17–19 ), but in G. n. dytiko ssp. n. the tip and dorsal lobe of the distal saccular process are slightly larger, and the distal carinal process of aedeagus is less prominent. Female genitalia of the nominate subspecies are unknown. Differences between the female genitalia of G. n. dytiko ssp. n. ( Fig. 32 View FIGURES 32–36 ) and the closely related G. dammay sp. n. ( Fig. 33 View FIGURES 32–36 ) are listed in the ‘Diagnosis’ chapter of the latter species .
Distribution. The subspecies is known from southwestern China, Sichuan Province.
Etymology. In Greek, ‘δυτικό’ means ‘western’.
