Locality: Uruguay River, Santo Tomé, Corrientes Province (type locality).
Site of infection: Stomach.
Reference: Szidat (1954).
Remarks: Bray et al. (1996) redescribed this species from Loricaria sp., Paraná River (Itapúa Province), Paraguay.
