Current Name. – Emerita analoga ( Stimpson, 1857b: 486) (see Morris et al., 1980).
ZMC status. – Not found.
Type status. – Possible type.
Type localities. – Tomales Bay , near San Francisco ; Monterey , California; and Mazatlan, Mexico .
Remarks. – Stimpson first used this name in 1857a, where it is a nomen nudum.
