Dolichophis schmidti (Nikolsky, 1909) Red-bellied Rac- er

Around 1990, a woman with a dead Dolichophis schmidti stabbed onto and twisted around a stick was witnessed standing along the road from Iğdır to Doğubayazıt at the sideway to Kavaktepe (J. Mulder, not previously published). This locality is one kilometer across the border in the province of Ağrı. This probably is the first find of this species in that province .
