Sinoxylon unidentatum (Fabricius) View in CoL ( Fig. 5L View FIGURE 5 )
Sinodendron unidentatum Fabricius, 1801: 377 .
Distribution in mainland China: Unspecified locality in mainland China (Borowski 2007).
Other distribution. Cosmopolitan ( Borowski & Węgrzynowicz 2007).
Biology. This widely distributed species, listed as cosmopolitan by Borowski & Węgrzynowicz (2007), is, however, only recorded from wet, warm areas in India ( Beeson & Bhatia 1937 as S. conigerum Gerstäcker, 1855 ). Sittichaya & Beaver (2009) found the species was the dominant pest in air-dried and seasoned rubberwood ( Hevea brasiliensis Muell.Arg. ( Euphorbiaceae )) sawn timber in Thailand. Savoldelli & Regalin (2009) reported the species infested the wood pallets of tea imported from Sri Lanka to Italy.
