Distribution in mainland China: New record for mainland China, YN, Xishuangbanna, 25km NW Jinghong, vic. Zhong Zhi Chang (NNNR), 22°14.44’N 100°36.24’E, 1080m, rubber plant, 23.v.2008. EKL, A. Weigel (1♂); 26km NW Jinghong vic. An Man Xin Zhai, 22°11.45’N 100°38.44’E, 760m, 10.x.2008, forest, L. Meng (1♀) (NME); FJ, Quanzhou, Nan’an, ex. longan log, 5.v.2017, Y. Li (3♂ 2♀) (LLY).
Other distribution. India, Nepal, Thailand, Laos, Sri Lanka, Hong Kong, Taiwan ( Liu & Beaver 2018).
Biology. The species breeds mainly in small, dead branches, but also in the sapwood of logs of numerous species ( Beeson & Bhatia 1937).
