Distribution in mainland China: New record for mainland China, YN, Xishuangbanna, 20km NW Jinghong ManDian (NNNR), 22°07.80’N 100°40.05’E, 730m, 30.x.2008, forest, EKL, A. Wiegel (1) (NME).
Other distribution. India, Burma, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia ( Beaver et al. 2011).
Biology. The species is usually found together with Xylopsocus capucinus in India ( Beeson & Bhatia 1937), and is most common in freshly cut or recently dead wood, whilst X. capucinus prefers dry wood based on a record from Southern Thailand ( Beaver et al. 2011).
