The described colour pattern (‘marginis elytrisque apice [...] rufotestaceis’) clearly refers to Omosita colon ( Linnaeus, 1758) . Omosita viana Gistel, 1857 is thus a junior synonym of Omosita colon ( Linnaeus, 1758) .
