Taxonomy. First record from Lebanon as Lesueurigobius friesii View in CoL by Aguillar et al. (2018: 81).
Distribution. Western Baltic Sea, North Sea, Mediterranean Sea, Sea of Marmara, eastern Atlantic: southern Norway and British Isles south to Mauritania.
Conservation. IUCN: Global ( LC: 15 July 2014); Med. ( LC: 15 November 2007). Capture and threats: Unknown. Occurrence: Very rare. Low priority for conservation action .
