Distribution. Western Atlantic; southern central Atlantic: Saint Helena; eastern Atlantic; Mediterranean Sea.

Conservation. IUCN: Global ( LC: 21 August 2012). Capture and threats: Unknown. Occurrence: Rare. Nonindigenous species, no conservation action needed .
