Type: locality. West Indies, Saint Vincent.

Exemplars examined. Chiapas: 12/IV/1968, in bromeliad, 2 exs., (new state record). Estado de México: Nanchititla National Park , 16/XII/2001, pine-oak forest, colls. O. Francke, E. González, 3 exs., (new state record). Veracruz: Cerro El Vigía, 18/II/1967, in bromeliad Vriesa gladioliflora, 1 ex. ; Estación de Biología Los Tuxtlas , 16/XI/1968, 13/VIII/1969, and 10/I/1975, in bromeliad Aechmea bracteata , coll. C. R.B., 4 exs., (new state record) .

Geographical distribution. Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Fiji, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Indonesia, México, Philippines, Papua New Guinea, Peru, Puerto Rico, Saint Vincent and The Grenadines, and Venezuela ( Attems 1930, Chagas 2003, Minelli 2006).

Distribution in México. Chiapas, Estado de México, and Veracruz.
