Poecilopompilus interruptus (Say)

GA: Sumter County, Americus, Americus Garden Inn; 20 August 2016; S. Egelseer. Host: Eriophora ravilla , adult female. The wasp paralyzed the tropical orbweaver by stinging and examined it with her antennae as it laid dorsal side upward on crushed stones. She then grasped the spider with her mandibles by its left foreleg and pulled it backwards, dorsal side upward, eventually releasing it dorsal side upward atop a water spigot. ( Egelseer 2016; S. TX: Travis County, Hornsby Bend; 8 October 2016; D. Feldman (MuhKuh Pix). Host: Metazygia cf wittfeldae (McCook) ( Araneidae ), adult or subadult female. The wasp held the paralyzed orbweaver on vegetation by the base of its left foreleg with her mandibles ( Feldman 2016a).

CANADA: Ontario, Prince Edward County; 2 November 2018; D. J. Sennes (@djsennes). Host: Argiope trifasciata (Forskål) (Banded orbweaver) ( Araneidae ), adult or subadult female. The wasp dragged the banded orbweaver along the ground, dorsal side upward, grasping the base of its right third leg with her mandibles ( Sennes 2018).

MEXICO: Coahuila State, between Cerros las Burras and Don Martin Dam ; uploaded 13 October 2008; V. Murillo Cepeda. Host: Neoscona oaxacensis , adult female. The wasp dragged the paralyzed western garden orbweaver backwards on the ground, dorsal side upward, grasping the base of its left foreleg with her mandibles. She kept her wings raised above her dorsum at a 55-60º angle during transport ( Murillo 2008) .

MEXICO: Sinaloa State, Municipality of Mazatlán, Paco´s Reserva Natural de Flora y Silvestre; 12 May 2018; G. P. Tejeda. Host:? Eriophora sp. ( Araneidae ), adult or subadult female. The wasp grasped the paralyzed orbweaver by the base of its right foreleg and dragged it, dorsal side upward, across a branch holding it with her mandibles ( Tejeda 2018).

MEXICO: Sinaloa State, Municipality of Mazatlán, Villa Union ; 13 August 2015, 0909 ( HST); F. F. Sarabia. Host: Neoscona oaxacensis , adult female. The wasp grasped the paralyzed western garden orbweaver by the base of its right hind leg with her mandibles and pulled it backwards on the substrate ( Sarabia 2015a) .
