Notes
Reported from Greece by Arvanitidis (2000a) and Koulouri et al. (2015). In the Mediterranean also known from France ( Barnich and Fiege 2000a), Italy ( Castelli et al. 2008) and the Adriatic ( Mikac 2015), otherwise distributed in the North East Atlantic ( Barnich and Fiege 2001). Easily confused with Malmgrenia castanea McIntosh, 1876 and Malmgrenia lunulata (Delle Chiaje, 1830), thus literature records should be treated with care ( Barnich and Fiege 2001).
