Tribe Neoseiulini Chant & McMurtry

Main distinguishing characteristics. Dorsolateral setae neither thickenet, strongly serrate nor inserted in tubercles. Seta J2 and S4 always present; s4, Z4 and Z5 not much longer than other dorsal shield setae; ratio s4 / Z1 <3.0. Posterior margin of sternal shield without median lobe. Macrosetae usually present only on leg IV (if also on other legs, then fixed cheliceral digit with less than six teeth).

Remarks. Chant & McMurtry (2003a) included the following genera in Neoseiulini : Archeosetus Chant & McMurtry , Chileseius Gonzalez & Schuster , Evansoseius Sheals , Neoseiulus Hughes , Olpiseius Beard , Paragigagnathus Amitai & Grinberg , Pholaseius Beard and Phyllodromus De Leon. In addition to those, the following genera were included in that tribe by Chant & McMurtry (2007): Macrocaudus Moraes et al. and Rubuseius Ragusa. A few years later, Kreiter & Tixier (2010) included Ragusaseius Kreiter. The Neoseiulini reported from Brazil include only species of the following genera: Macrocaudus , Neoseiulus , Phyllodromus and Ragusaseius .
