Specimens measured. SP (4).
Dorsal shield of female mostly reticulate, with a smooth transverse band behind Z4, 378 (355–395) long and 198 (192–205) wide. Setal lengths: j1 29 (27–32), j3 36 (35–37), j4 19 (17–20), j5 19 (17–20), j6 27 (25–30), J2 31 (25–32), J5 16 (12–18), z2 33 (30–35), z4 34 (30–40), z5 20 (17–22), Z1 31 (30–32), Z4 49 (42–55), Z5 71 (65–75), s4 44 (42–45), S2 43 (40–45), S4 53 (47–57), S5 53 (50–55), r3 39 (37–40) and R1 43 (37–45). Peritreme extending to level of j1. Distances between st1–st3 75 (75–77), st2–st2 67 (62–72), st5–st5 70 (67–75). Ventrianal shield 136 (135–137) long, 116 (115–117) wide at level of Zv2 and 102 (100–107) wide at anus level. Spermathecal calyx cup-shaped, about twice as wide near vesicle as long, 8 (7–10) long; atrium nodular. Fixed cheliceral digit 35 long, with ten teeth; movable digit 33 long, with two teeth. Macrosetae only on leg IV, sharp-tipped; SgeIV 33 (30–34), StiIV 32 (29–34) and StIV 78 (77–80) .
Distribution in Brazil. Paraíba ( Moraes & McMurtry, 1983), Paraná ( Araujo et al., 2022a), Rio Grande do Sul (Ferla et al., 2013) and São Paulo ( Lofego et al., 2009).
Distribution elsewhere. Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Martinique, Nicaragua, Panama and USA.
Remarks. Species described from Brazil. The measurements of the specimens examined are similar to those of the original description.
