Type species. Phyllodromus leiodis De Leon, 1959c: 260 .

Main distinguishing characteristics. Dorsal shield varying from mostly smooth to reticulate. Idiosomal setal pattern 10A:9B/JV-3:ZV; most setae near shield margin (including r3 and, in some species, R1) lanceolate, of about uniform, medium length; other dorsal shield setae short to minute. Sternal shield with posterior margin concave and with a pair of small incisions mesad of st3. Ventrianal shield vase-shaped and with Jv1 close to anterior margin; may be reduced, not encompassing Jv1. Peritreme shortened, reaching level between j3 and z2. Spermathecal calyx bell-shaped. Fixed and movable cheliceral digits with 5–7 and 1–2 teeth, respectively. Leg macrosetae absent. Male unknown.

Remarks. One of the two species presently included in this genus has been reported from Brazil, in only two occasions. Worldwide, species of this genus have been reported from plants.
