Specimen measured. AM (1).
Dorsal shield of female smooth, 362 long and 237 wide. Setal lengths: j1 32, j3 40, j4 10, j5 8, j6 10, J2 11, J5 8, z2 18, z4 10, z5 9, Z1 12, Z4 122, Z5 247, s4 95, S2 11, S4 12, S5 10, r3 14 and R1 10. Peritreme extending to level of j1. Distances between st1–st3 67, st2–st2 78, st5–st5 75. Ventrianal shield 130 long, 63 wide at level of Zv2 and 82 at anus level. Spermathecal calyx short-tubular, 14 long; atrium globular. Fixed cheliceral digit 39 long, with 12 teeth; movable digit 40 long, with four teeth. Macrosetae of legs I–IV, sharp-tipped; SgeI 43, SgeII 45, SgeIII 53, SgeIV 100, StiIII 41, StiIV 77 and StIV 75 .
Distribution in Brazil. Amazonas ( Cruz et al., 2015) and Roraima (Gondim Jr. et al., 2012).
Distribution elsewhere. Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guadeloupe, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua and Venezuela.
Remarks. Setal measurements not provided in the original description. The measurements here provided are similar to those of the redescription by Castro et al. (2010) for specimens from Costa Rica; they are also similar to the measurements by Denmark & Muma (1989), except j4 and z2, respectively about 1.4 and 1.8 times longer in Brazilian specimens.
