Subtribe Arrenoseiina
Main distinguishing characteristics. Usually brownish to reddish. Idiosomal shields strongly sclerotised and covering a wider proportion of the idiosoma than the Amblyseiina (usually more so than the Proprioseiopsina ), with sternal and ventrianal shields often wider than long. Seta J2 present; if absent, then j5 also absent. Ectal strip usually present.
