Ventrianal shield 124 (110–150) long, 162 (150–170) wide at level of Zv2 and 111 (110–125) at anus level. With only one large pair of metapodal plates. Distribution in Brazil. Bahia ( Souza et al., 2012, 2015; Nuvoloni et al., 2015a, 2022; Argolo et al., 2017), Espírito Santo ( El-Banhawy, 1984), Rio Grande do Sul ( Diehl et al., 2012, Ferla & Moraes, 1998, 2002 b, Ferla et al., 2011, Johann et al., 2014, Mecke et al., 2000) and Santa Catarina ( Fenilli & Flechtmann, 1990).
Distribution elsewhere. Not reported.
Remarks. Species described from Brazil. The measurements are similar to those of the original description, except for having dorsal shield 2.2 times wider. However, according to Souza et al. (2015), considering the illustration of the holotype, the reported width of 147 is probably a mistake. In addition, the measurements are similar to the redescription by Denmark (1988).
