Distribution in Iran. Iran (no locality cited) ( Knížek 2011). General distribution. Almost worldwide wherever coffee ( Coffea spp .) ( Rubiaceae ) is grown (Vega et al. 2015).
Biology. This species is the most important pest of coffee, attacking the berries, and causing economically important damage. Detailed reviews of the biology and possible control measures are given by Damon (2000), Jaramillo et al. (2006), Vega et al. (2009, 2015) and others. There is a very large literature on the species ( Perez et al. 2015).
