Biroia taeniocauda ( Enderlein, 1920) View in CoL
( Figs 16–23 View FIGURES 16 – 23 )
Isoptronotum taeniocauda Enderlein, 1920: 193 ; Shenefelt, 1970: 418; Bhat et Gupta, 1977: 161; Chen et Yang, 2006: 207. Isoptronotum bicolor Wang, 1984: 152 ; Chen et Yang, 2006: 206. Syn. nov.
Material examined. Holotype of B. bicolor : female ( IZCAS) “Yunnan Xishuangbanna Mengna, 620–650m, 9.VI.1958, Wang Shuyong”; 1Ƥ, Hainan Prov., Jianfengling, 21–22.VIII.2000, Xu Zaifu, No. 200404334 ( ZJUH).
Note. We examined the holotype of Isoptronotum bicolor Wang, 1984 and found that it is identical to I. taeniocauda Enderlein, 1920 . Wang (1984) distinguished I. bicolor from I. taeniocauda by the following characters: hind wing with hyaline spot, malar space 3.5 times basal width of mandible and 0.8 times its eye height; and areola of propodeum hexagon. But, these differences are indicative of the variation found in I. taeniocauda and the main characters of these two species are similar: temple long; first tergite long; and ovipositor sheath wide with identical colour pattern.
