Current name: Cistus salviifolius L. View in CoL ( Cistaceae ).

Note: Specific epithet spelled “salvifolia” in the protologue. Jafri (in Jafri & El-Gadi, Fl. Libya 48: 8. 1977) indicated 689.11 (LINN) as type, but this collection was received from Alströmer long after 1753 so it cannot be original material for the name.
