Daidalotarsonemus alas Rezende et al., 2015b: 450 .
Diagnosis. Female: Gnathosoma : Palpal length about 1/4 length of gnathosoma. Dorsum: Ornamentation wrinkled on all shields, medially and laterally. Setae v1, sc2, c1, c2 and h unmodified in shape. Setae v1 as long as sc2 (~ 25). Setae c1, c2 and h identical in length (~ 13). Setae c1 inserted near midlength of tergite C. Posterior setae d, e and f leaf-shaped. Setae d and f identical in shape (ensiform with two lateral veins), length (~ 35) and width (~ 5). Setae e unique in shape (elliptical with one central and two lateral veins), width (~ 5), shorter than d and f, but clearly longer than h (~ 18). Setae f ~11 distant from each other, on cylindrical tubercles. Venter: Tegula truncate, slightly arched posteriorly. All apodemes distinct. Apodemes 2 fused to prosternal apodeme. Poststernal apodeme not bifurcated anteriorly. Legs: sensory cluster of tibiotarsus I complete. Seta tc” of tarsus II and l’ of tibia III thick and distinctly serrate. Male & larva: unknown.
Type material deposition: holotype ♀ and 27 paratypes ♀ deposited at NMCR; three paratypes ♀ at CALFAUCR; two paratypes ♀ at CNC ; one paratype ♀ at DZSJRP ; one paratype ♀ at TNHM ; 19 paratypes ♀ at USNM .
Localities: 10°26′N 84°1′W, La Selva Biological Station , Heredia Province, Costa Rica GoogleMaps ; 9°54′N 83°40′W, Turrialba , Cartago Province, Costa Rica GoogleMaps ( Rezende et al. 2015b).
