( Figs. 92–94 View FIGURE 92 View FIGURE 93 View FIGURE 94 )
Daidalotarsonemus puntarenensis Rezende et al., 2015b: 485 .
Diagnosis. Female: Gnathosoma : Palpal length about 1/5 length of gnathosoma. Dorsum: Reticulate ornamentation present on prodorsum, tergite C and D. Tergite C with four transverse rows of well-defined cells medially, grouped between setae c1 and c2, and different number of distinct cells per row (eight cells for both first and second rows, and six cells for both third and fourth rows). Tergite D with two transverse rows of cells (five and four, respectively), between setae d. Setae sc2 ensiform; h unmodified in shape. Setae v1, c1 and c2 fusiform in shape. Setae v1 about as long as sc2 (~ 30). Setae c1, c2 and h similar in length (~ 15). Setae c1 inserted near posterior border of tergite C. Setae d, e and f leaf-shaped. Setae d and e similar in length (~ 26) and width (~ 4). Setae d unique in shape (ensiform with one central vein). Setae e and f identical in shape (ensiform and scaled). Setae f unique in length (~ 34) and width (~ 6). Setae f ~9 distant from each other, on cylindrical tubercles. Setae h clearly shorter than posterior setae d, e and f (~ 15). Venter: Tegula distinctly rounded. Apodemes distinct, except for prosternal apodeme from level of apodemes 2 to sejugal apodeme. Apodemes 2 not fused to prosternal apodeme. Poststernal apodeme bifurcated anteriorly. Fissures laterad trochanters III, diagonally positioned from anterior end of apodemes 4 to posterior margin of metapodosomal ventral plate. Legs: sensory cluster of tibiotarsus I complete. Seta tc” of tarsus II and l’ of tibia III serrate. Male & larva: unknown.
Type material deposition: holotype ♀ deposited at NMCR; three paratypes ♀ at USNM .
Locality: Quepos, Puntarenas Province, Costa Rica ( Rezende et al. 2015b).
