Type locality. India: North India, coll. Dr. Bacon and Captain Boys.

Specimen examined (n=1). Syntype labelled “North India, coll. Dr. Bacon and Captain Boys” .
Description. Length 8.5 mm. Head, pronotum, elytral sutural line, scutellum, region around scutellum, femur, first two antennal segments dark reddish yellow; tibia and tarsi pale reddish yellow; antennal segments 3–11 dark reddish brown; eyes grey; elytra brownish black.
Head stout, wider than long, vertex smooth, shiny, glabrous; frons, region around eyes and neck punctated, pubescent; eyes protruding; antennae stout, segments wide, short, not reaching the middle of the elytra; segment 2 very short, segment 3 shorter than segment 1.
Pronotum shiny, punctated, densely pubescent; disc with apical margin outwardly sinuate, without lateral portion of apical margin projecting forward, basal margin slightly outwardly sinuate; disc laterally with anterior half convex, posterior half slightly divergent, hind angles pointed, at right angles, not projecting laterally; median groove shallow, not reaching the apical and basal margin; anterior transverse foveae moderately deep; lateral bead broad, dark brown.
Elytra subparallel, shiny, punctated, pubescent, with short golden brown setae; base narrowed, humerus present, rounded; apex without re-entrant angle; scutellum small, wider, blunt; striations weak, keel shaped, intervals broad, carinate; sutural line extending from region around scutellum to apex, gradually narrowing from base to apex, broadest at base; having narrow reddish yellow apical band.
