Type locality. Bangladesh: Dhaka, coll. M. S. Stevens.

Type depository. MNHN .

Specimen examined (n=1). Syntype labelled “‘Deccan’, coll. Stevens, det. Chaudoir”.

Description. Length 9.0 mm. Head, mid region of pronotum reddish brown; palpi, antennal segments 1–4, and legs reddish yellow; lateral sides of pronotum brownish black; eyes black; scutellum brownish black; elytra black with light brown shade.

Head longer than broad, frons rough, vertex smooth, fine pubescence around the eyes, otherwise glabrous; frontal foveae shallow; eyes protruding; antennae long, reaching the middle of the elytra, antennal segment 3 equals the combined length of segments 1 and 2; last segment of palpi pointed.

Pronotum as wide as long, punctated, densely pubescent, with fine yellow setae; disc with apical margin inwardly sinuate, basal margin straight, apical margin without lateral region projecting forward; disc laterally with anterior two-thirds convex, posterior third divergent, hind angle blunt, acute; median groove shallow; lateral bead narrow.

Elytra sub-parallel, long, densely pubescent with yellow setae; humerus narrow, straight, corners rounded; apex with very faint re-entrant angle, having narrow membranous border; scutellum small, pointed; striations weak, intervals shallow.

Distribution. INDIA: Bihar: Pusa. BANGLADESH: Dhaka.
