Specimen examined (n=1). Holotype labelled: “‘Madras: Surada’, coll. R. P. J. Rey, ex. coll. Babault, ‘figured specimen’, ‘H. E. Andrewes Coll. B. M. 1945-97 ’, det. H. E. Andrewes.”
Description. Length 11.0–13.0 mm. Head, disc of pronotum (mid region) and first three segments of antennae brownish red; three spots on elytra and legs pale reddish yellow; segments 4–11 of antennae dark brown; apical, basal and lateral margins of pronotum black, elytra black.
Head convex, shiny, rough, vertex punctated; frontal foveae shallow; eyes protruding; antennae long, reaching the middle of elytra, segment 1 very short.
Pronotum longer than wide, surface rough, wrinkled, glabrous; disc laterally with anterior 2/3rd convex, posterior 1/3rd divergent, hind angles slightly protruding laterally, angles acute, pointed; median groove shallow, deepest at the extremities.
Elytra convex, humerus squared; striations deep, distinctly punctated, intervals carinate; three spots on each elytron, anterior spot placed towards humerus, broad, rounded, covering intervals 4–8, smaller middle spot covering intervals 2–5, very small posterior spot close to angle outside the truncation.
Distribution. INDIA: Odisha: Ganjam, Surada; Maharashtra: Igatpuri, Bandra; Karanataka: Kanara.
