ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION: 1875b: 187 (key), 188 (description).
TYPE LOCALITY: “ in colle parmensi [ Parmese hill ( Italy)]” .
TYPE MATERIAL: 1 ♂, lectotype ( MZUF: Box 35): Anthophilina Zett. / armillaris n., in Boletis / 1877 / Lectotypus Anthophilina Zett. armillaris Rond., J. Roháček des., 1999 / Anthomyza albimana (Meig.) , ♂, J. Roháček det. 1999.
CURRENT STATUS: junior synonym of Anthomyza albimana (Meigen, 1830) ( Andersson 1984: 51, Canzoneri et al. 1995: 14); junior synonym of Fungomyza albimana (Meigen, 1830) View in CoL ( Roháček 1999: 393, 2009: 88).
REMARKS: Rondani (1875b: 188) described Anthophilina armillaris without specifying either the number or the sex of the specimens, but giving a single measurement of length: “ Semel mihi orta a boletis putrescentibus [one born from a rotting Boletus ]”. Roháček (1999: 394) designated a lectotype (♂).
