Psilopus testaceipes Rondani, 1848 View in CoL
ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION: 1848b: 88.
TYPE LOCALITY: “ Brasile [ Brazil]” ( Rondani 1848b: 63) .
TYPE MATERIAL: not found in this study.
CURRENT STATUS: junior synonym of Condylostylus stigma ( Fabricius, 1805) View in CoL ( Robinson 1970: 12, Yang et al. 2006: 411).
REMARKS: Rondani (1848b: 88) proposed Psilopus guttipennis for Psilopus stigma sensu Wiedemann (1830: 216) , which he considered a new species. In his description of Psilopus guttipennis, Rondani (1848b: 87) described both sexes, which differ mainly in the color of the legs and, supposing them to be different species, named the specimen with brown legs Psilopus testaceipes . We were unable to locate any type material of this nominal species in our study.
