Pallopteridae View in CoL View at ENA
This family of acalyptrate flies contains 72, predominantly Palaearctic, species ( Marshall 2012, Evenhuis & Pape 2020). In his “ Stirps Loncheinae ”, rather than in the family Pallopteridae , proposed by Loew (1862b), Rondani (1875a) described one Palaearctic species, considered as a junior synonym ( Morge 1984). No type material was located in this study and is presumed lost.
