ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION: 1875a: 256 (key), 257 (description).
TYPE LOCALITY: “ prope Oropam in alpibus pedemontanis [Piedmont Alps near Oropa ( Italy)]” .
TYPE MATERIAL: not found in this study.
CURRENT STATUS: junior synonym of Palloptera ephippium Zetterstedt, 1860 ( Morge 1984: 244) View in CoL .
REMARKS: Rondani (1875a: 257) described Palloptera limbata from a single female: “ Faeminam unicam inveni [I found a single female]”. We also did not find any material during this study.
