ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION: 1865a: 140.
TYPE LOCALITY: “ in colle subapennino [on a sub-Apennine hill ( Italy)]” .
TYPE MATERIAL: not found in this study.
CURRENT STATUS: junior synonym of Paragus albifrons ( Fallén, 1817) View in CoL ( Peck 1988: 80; Belcari et al. 1995a: 10).
REMARKS: Rondani (1865a: 140) described Paragus lavendulae from just the male sex without specifying either the number or the length of the specimens. We could not locate any type specimens of this nominal species during our study.
