Digonocryptus petrus Aguiar et Ramos , sp. nov.
Figs 41, 42, 122, 201, 241
Description. Holotype FEMALE. Fore wing 10.6 mm.
Head. [Mandible not visible, covered by labrum]. Clypeus apical area delimited by abrupt folding at nearly 90 degrees; clypeal margin with two tiny teeth. Antenna with 28 flagellomeres; white band starting at flagellomere IV; 7 flagellomeres at least 50% white.
Mesosoma . Mesopleuron glabrous, partially weakly striate. Subalar prominence large and round, oblong, weakly keeled. Sulcus between sternaulus and scrobe absent. Posterior transverse carina of mesosternum absent. Lower metapleuron weakly striate. Propodeum: area in front of anterior transverse carina polished, smooth. Propodeal apophyses present as weak scale-shaped structures. Posterior transverse carina absent. Area behind transverse carina to apex of propodeum obliquely to transversely striate, striations radially organized around petiolar foramen. Fore wing in Fig. 201; vein 3-Cu 1.41 length of 4-Cu. Hind wing in Fig. 241.
Metasoma. Postpetiole dorsally, at level of spiracle, very weakly concave; dorsolateral and median dorsal carinae absent; petiolar spiracles in dorsal view not prominent. Ovipositor 1.34 length of hind tibia. Apex of lower valve with 14 teeth.
Color. Mostly yellowish light brown, with black and yellow anteriorly. Lateral pattern as in Fig. 41. Orbital band briefly interrupted at malar space only; width on supra-antennal area and temple about 0.3 of interocular distance, gena entirely yellow. Clypeus, except black apical area, clypeal sulcus and supraclypeal area entirely yellow, head otherwise black. Mesosoma on pro-, meso- and metanotum black with yellow marks, otherwise orange brown. Pronotum dorsally along anterior margin with wide yellow stripe from side to side, not medially interrupted; latero-dorsal margin with long yellow mark. Propleuron yellow. Mesoscutum centrally, at level of tegula, with large yellow spot. Axillar carina, hind margin of meso and metanotum, scutellum and postscutellum, yellow. Propodeum as in Figs 41–42, with faint yellow stripe medio-longitudinally. All femora light orange brown, fore femur lightest, yellowish, hind femur darkest. All tibia yellowish light brown, hind tibia slightly darker. Fore and mid t1–2 except apex yellowish brown, apex of t1–2 and remaining of fore and mid tarsi dark brown. Hind t1 basal 0.2 brown, quickly grading to mostly pale yellow; t2–5 also pale yellow. Metasoma in dorsal view orange brown, except as follows. T1 apical margin with large yellow spot, reaching almost from side to side. T5–7 basal margin with brown stripe, medially interrupted on T5. T8 brown.
Morphological variation. Fore wing 10.6–11.2 mm. Ovipositor 1.34–1.38 length of hind tibia. On paratype mesopleuron ventrally with small yellow spot at the end of sternaulus; carinal triangle with large pale yellow spot; mid coxa dorso-mesally with small yellow spot; T2 apical margin with a small yellow spot, and T4–8 unicolorous, without apical brown stripes. Yellow stripe on propodeum conspicuous, not faint.
MALE. Unknown.
Comments. Similar to D. siraeus , from which it can be separated by having the clypeus, including clypeal suture, supraclypeal area and gena entirely yellow; pronotum with dorso lateral margin bearing a distinct and elongate yellow mark; speculum entirely yellowish; axillar carina, scutellum and postscutellum yellow; and propodeum medio-longitudinally with a pale to distinct yellow stripe. Also similar to D. caceres , from which it can be distinguished by having speculum, carinal triangle, and a small area near prepectal carina, yellowish (vs. dark orange as remaining of mesopleuron); propodeum medio-longitudinally, behind anterior transverse carina, with a faint to distinct, wide but elongate yellow mark (vs. absent); T1 with small, faint to distinct yellow dot dorso-apically (vs. absent).
