Additional specimens examined:— TANZANIA. Bumbuli , west Usambaras Jang. Jerr., 1676 m, 17 March 1941, Moreau 874 (K) ; Kwamkoro , near Amani Jang. Jerr., 1,067 m, 20 March 1941, Moreau 27A (K) ; Handeni , 610 m, 12 May 1943, Moreau 416 (K). In cultivation in Netherlands, Gelderland, Wageningen, flowered on the 6 October 2006, Damen 209 ( WAG) .

Distribution:— According to Govaerts et al. (2016), Cyrtorchis neglecta occurs in five countries ( Democratic Republic of the Congo, Rwanda, Burundi, Tanzania, Zambia), although we have not examined any material from Democratic Republic of the Congo, Rwanda, Burundi, and Zambia. Cyrtorchis neglecta is thus widely distributed in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Habitat and ecology:— Gallery forests, open forests, shrublands between 610 and 1,676 m elevation. Flowering peak in March.
