Wing with a brown medial spot between r-m and apical spot on R4+5, brown subapical spot on R2+3 confluent with brown medial spot on R4+5; apical spots on R4+5 and M1 confluent; brown cloud on r-m and dm-cu, slightly constricted at middle; subcostal cell pale brown apically. Abdomen yellow with sparse white pruinosity. Male tergites 4–6 (female 4–7) each with a black medial spot, and tergite 6 with a pair of black round spots on ventrolateral margin.

Description. MALE. Body length 4.6 mm, wing length 4.2 mm. FEMALE. Body length 4.1–4.7 mm, wing length 4.0– 4.5 mm.

Head yellow. Frons about as long as wide and parallel-sided, with two pale brown wide stripes along or rows, extending to ocellar triangle; ocellar triangle black; oc hair-like, shorter than 1/2 anterior or, anterior or slightly shorter than 1/2 of posterior or; gena about 1/5 height of eye. Antenna yellow, 1st flagellomere pale brown on apical 2/3, 1.4 times longer than high; arista black except for brownish base, ray pubescent, with longest ray shorter than 1/3 height of 1st flagellomere. Proboscis and palpus yellow.

Thorax yellow with sparse grayish white pruinosity. Mesonotum without brownish medial stripe; 0+3 dc (anterior dc behind transverse suture), acr in irregular 8 rows; prsc shorter than 1st post-sutural dc. Legs yellow. Fore femur with 2–4 strong pv and 6 pd, ctenidium with 12–15 short setae; fore tibia with 1 long preapical ad and 1 short apv. Mid femur with 6 a and 1 app; mid tibia with 1 strong preapical ad and 2 strong apv. Hind femur with 1 preapical ad; hind tibia with 1 weak preapical ad and 1 short apv. Wing ( Fig. 22 View FIGURES 13 – 24 ) pale yellow, with a brown medial spot between r-m and apical spot on R4+5, subapical spot on R2+3 and medial spot on R4+5 confluent; brown apical spots on R4+5 and M1 confluent; brown cloud on r-m and dm-cu; subcostal cell pale brown apically; costa with 2nd (between R1 and R2+3), 3rd (between R2+3 and R4+5) and 4th (between R4+5 and M1) sections in proportion of 5:1.5:1; r-m at middle of discal cell; ultimate and penultimate sections of M 1 in proportion of 1:1.7; ultimate section of CuA1 about 1/10 of penultimate. Halter yellow.

Abdomen yellow, with sparse grayish white pruinosity. Male tergites 4–6 (female 4–7) each with a black medial spot, and tergite 6 with a pair of black round spots on ventrolateral margin. Male genitalia ( Figs 310–314 View FIGURES 310 – 314 ): syntergosternite semicircular with a setula around spiracle, broad in lateral view; surstylus with two pairs of furcated processes; hypandrium H-shaped with three hypandrial apodemes; pregonite and postgonite fused, pregonite subuliform, postgonite broad knife-like with long setae and a subapical tooth; aedeagus a small apical incision in ventral view and a pair of dorsoapical teeth in lateral view; aedeagal lateral sclerite slender; aedeagal apodeme shorter than aedeagus.

Distribution. China (Hainan).

Remarks. The new species is very similar to Homoneura (Homoneura) longfurcata sp. nov. from China (Hainan) in wing pattern and shape of surstylus, but it can be separated from the latter by the abdominal tergite 6 having a pair of black round spots near ventrolateral margin, the syntergosternite lack dorsal setulae, with a setula around spiracle; three hypandrial apodemes present. In H. (H.) longfurcata , the abdominal tergite 6 doesn’t have black round spots near ventrolateral margin; the syntergosternite has dorsal setulae, with three setulae around spiracle; the hypandrium has four hypandrial apodemes.

Etymology. Latin, tri-, prefix meaning three + processa, meaning processes, referring to the three hypandrial apodemes; a feminine adjective.
