Distribution: Holarctic, Neotropical and Eastern.
Records in Mexico: Oaxaca, Quintana Roo and Campeche.
Biogeographic province: Sierra Madre del Sur. Yucatan Peninsula.
Habitat: Leaf litter and soil of medium sub evergreen forest, lowland forest, mangrove and halophyte vegetation. Low flooded rainforest soil and litter. Soil in acahual and coffee plantations.
