Habitat: Bat guano. Soil, litter and moss. Leaf litter (of various species) and soil of the Tehuacan Valley. Soil cave. Soil in Abies religiosa forest. Leaf litter and soil of medium sub evergreen forest, lowland forest, mangrove and halophyte vegetation. Collected on epiphytes: Aechmea bracteata growing on Haematoxylum campechianum and Metopium brownei . Moss. Litter in alfalfa Cratylia argentea plantations. Pasture and pine forest.
