Biogeographic province: Transmexican Volcanic Belt. Veracruzan. Sierra Madre Oriental. Yucatan Peninsula.
Habitat: Soil, litter and moss. Pinus cembroides leaf litter. Leaf litter and soil of medium sub evergreen forest, lowland forest, mangrove and halophyte vegetation. Bat guano. Epiphytes: Aechmea bracteata growing on Haematoxylum campechianum and Metopium brownei . Moss. Soil and litter in a cave. Pinus michoacana and Quercus rugosa forest. Leaf litter under trees and bushes in a secondary semi-evergreen tropical forest.
