Records in Mexico: Veracruz, Jalisco, Queretaro, Quintana Roo and Aguascalientes.
Biogeographic province: Veracruzan. Yucatan Peninsula. Chihuahuan Desert. Sierra Madre Oriental.
Habitat: Litter. Leaf litter and soil of medium sub evergreen forest, lowland forest, mangrove and halophyte vegetation. Organic matter ( Aquila chrysaetos canadensis nests). Xerophytic vegetation.
