Diagnosis. Ethmia susa is similar to E. antennipilosa and E. rectiuga sp. nov. The differences between them are given in the diagnosis of the two species.

Wingspan 21.5‒23.0 mm. Male forewing pattern similar to that of the female. Male genitalia ( Fig. 16 View FIGURES 16–19 ) with uncus sub-rectangular in basal half, bilobed in distal half; each lobe narrowed to obtusely rounded apex. Gnathos slightly shorter than uncus; caudal part with long spines on posterior margin; oral part 1.3 as wide as caudal part, with denticles and short spines anteriorly, anterior margin concave inward at middle. Labis digitate, 2/3 length of uncus. Valva with stout costa shorter than half length of valva; sacculus narrow at base, widened medially, ventral margin straight in basal half, concave inward in distal half, with a large ventroapical spine; cucullus elongate triangular, slightly shorter than half length of valva, convex on dorsal margin, blunt at apex. Juxta banded, posterolateral lobes equal to length of labis, narrowed. Phallus and vesica weakly sclerotized, without cornutus.

Distribution. China (Hainan, Taiwan).

Notes. The male of this species is described for the first time.
