Current status. Junior synonym of Lytta (Lytta) vesicatoria vesicatoria (Linnaeus, 1758) , see BOLOGNA (2008).
Remark. FLEISCHER (1923) intended his variety Lytta vesicatoria var. viridicuprea as ‘more appropriate’ name for REITTER’ s (1890) variety L. v. var. dibapha . That variety was described based on form with orange longitudinal stripe on elytra, and FLEISCHER (1923) correctly stated that this form represents only a colour aberation within ‘normally’ green-coppery metallic specimens. However as FLEISCHER (1923) based his name on the description of specimens from Elisavetgrad [= nowadays Kirovograd], Ukraine, we introduce those specimens from NMPC here as the type specimens.
