Chorology.
Stenus ressli was described from the northern foothills of the Elburz in the Caspian plain south and east of Chalus ( Puthz 1979: 54). We rediscovered it somewhat further to the west south of Tonekabon. Seemingly, Stenus ressli is endemic to a small area in the Hyrcanian forest belt of western Mazandaran (Fig. 20 View Figures 19–24 ).
