Distribution in Iran. Golestan ( Hoberlandt 1997as Promecocoris pictus ), Guilan ( Linnavuori 2008), Tehran ( Wagner 1968 as Promecocoris pictus ), Iran (no locality cited) ( Putshkov 1965 as P. p i ct us; Göllner-Scheiding 2006b).
General distribution. Central Asia: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan (Asian part), Kirgizia, Tadjikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan.
Host plants. In Juniperus zone of a mountain steppe, and on Artemisia sp. and Eryngium sp. (both Asteraceae ) ( Linnavuori 2008).
