Distribution in Iran. Alborz, East Azarbaijan (Ribes & Pagola Carte 2013), Fars, Kerman, Kermanshah, Mazandaran, Tehran ( Hoberlandt 1997; Ribes & Pagola Carte 2013), West Azarbaijan ( Hoberlandt 1997; Nateq Golestan 2004; Nateq Golestan et al. 2004, 2010a, b, c, 2011), Iran (no locality cited) ( Rider 2006).
General distribution. Siberian species extending to Caucasus area: Turkey, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan (both European and Asian parts), Russia (Siberia, Far East), Mongolia ( Rider 2006; Belousova 2007; Aukema et al. 2013).
Host plants. On Crataegus sp. ( Malaceae ), Salvia sp. ( Lamiaceae ) ( Nateq Golestan et al. 2011); recorded on Stachys recta ( Lamiaceae ), Verbascum orientale ( Scrophulariaceae ), Centaurea pseudocoriacea ( Asteraceae ), Filipendula hexapetala ( Rosaceae ) (Ribes & Pagola Carte 2013).
