Cimex sphacelatus Fabricius, 1794: 120 ; Pentatoma annulata Mulsant & Rey, 1852: 86 ; Peribalus sphacelatus var. suboblongus Rey, 1887: 2 ; Peribalus sphacelatus var. roseus Cerutti, 1937: 168 .

Distribution in Iran. Isfahan ( Samin & Asgari 2012), Mazandaran (Sakenin et al. 2008), West Azarbaijan ( Farahbakhsh 1961; Modarres Awal 1997b).

General distribution. Europe (except great Britain and Scandinavia), Maghreb.

Host plants. On turnip ( Farahbakhsh 1961; Modarres Awal 1997b), Eruca sativa (Sakenin et al. 2008) ; also recorded on Verbascum thapsus ( Scrophulariaceae ), Vaccinium sp. ( Ericaceae ) and Achillea sp. ( Asteraceae ) (Ribes & Pagola Carte 2013).
