Ardabil ( Modarres Awal 1987), East Azarbaijan (Brown 1962, 1966; Modarres Awal 1997a, b; Havaskary et al. 2012), Golestan ( Kiritshenko 1949; Brown 1962, 1966; Wagner 1968; Linnavuori 2008), Guilan ( Linnavuori 2008), Khorasan ( Modarres Awal 1996a, 1997b; Linnavuori 2008; Nateq Golestan & Modarres Awal 2012), Markazi ( Modarres Awal 1997b), Mazandaran ( Hoberlandt 1997; Sakenin et al. 2008), Qazvin (Brown 1962, 1966), Sistan & Baluchestan (Brown 1962, 1966; Modarres Awal 1997b), Tehran (Brown 1962, 1966; Wagner 1968; Hoberlandt 1997; Modarres Awal 1997b; Samin 2010), West Azarbaijan (Brown 1962, 1966; Nateq Golestan 2004; Nateq Golestan et al. 2004, 2010a, b, c, 2011), Iran (no locality cited) ( Derjanschi & Péricart 2005; Khanjani 2006; Rider 2006).
General distribution. Afghanistan ( Hoberlandt 1984), and Caucasian Region and Central Asia including, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kirgizia, Tadjikistan, Uzbekistan.
Host plants. On Triticum sp. ( Poaceae ) ( Modarres Awal 1996a, 1997a, b; Khanjani 2006), Tamarix sp. ( Tamaricaceae ) ( Modarres Awal 1997b), wild Poaceae ( Modarres Awal 1996a; Linnavuori 2008; Nateq Golestan et al. 2011), Brachiaria eruciformis ( Poaceae ), Trifolium sp. ( Fabaceae ) (Sakenin et al. 2008), Atriplex sp. ( Amaranthaceae ) and Hordeum vulgare ( Poaceae ) ( Nateq Golestan & Modarres Awal 2012). It has been mentioned on several other Poaceae such as Agropyrum caespitosum , A. pectiniforme , Alopecurus arundinaceus , Arrhenatherum kotchsyi , Boisseria squarrosa , Bromus lanceolatus ( Derjanschi & Péricart 2005) .
